If you are looking for a park which is easily accessible then Allerton Park Caravan Park is the place. Just off the A1 on the A59 towards York, you will find this woodland retreat.
Heading to and from Scotland, Allerton it is the ideal place to stop over as you are so close to the park when you depart the A1, and yet feel away from it. The park is set in the backdrop of Allerton Castle, but Knaresborough is close enough for you to shop and easily find somewhere to eat.

Knaresborough is a lovely market town, known for it’s Mother Shipton’s Cave which is a lovely walk along the riverside. In the town you will find independent shops and places to eat and drink. Harrogate is a little further away, but offers more choice with many national brands from shops and eateries and of course the famous Betty’s tea rooms. Or in the other direction from Allerton Park you head into historic York, from walking along the City Walls, visiting museums, York offers something for everyone.
