"Sales of holiday homes have soared in recent weeks and a broad section of people are buying the little plots" 'Sunday Express '
So just why should you buy (or hire) a holiday home? In our 28 years in the industry we think that we understand our market pretty well. We are not mass-marketers, focused on shifting boxes and selling a commodity to the masses. Every caravan we sell or hire is different, not only due to the unit in question but each one is sited on it’s own unique pitch. We do not have uniform lines of white boxes, stretching as far as the eye can see, we are not a faceless organisation, we are David and Christine Hind. Every day we are available to speak or chat to on either Allerton Park or Weir Caravan Park.
In the current environment time and money is important to us all, the cost of holidaying abroad is becoming prohibitive. People are not prepared to loose their annual holiday and as a result are focusing more and more on holidaying in the UK. People want the best value for their money and are often finding that having their own little (or big?) place on a holiday park offers them the best of tranquillity and local conveniences at an attainable cost. Think about it a family holiday abroad can cost upwards of £1,000 for one week. Our park fees (at c.£1,500, inc VAT) offer a real alternative. Even once the costs of financing a holiday home are taken into account this offers great value for money, providing a ‘home’ you can holiday in at any time you like*. we have used holiday homes available from as little as £5,000, to brand new timber lodges at upto £100,000. Holidays start at little over £200 for a week, just compare that to a cottage on one of the larger leisure parks
• People come for the fantastic fishing (at Weir), many pitches have their own River/Canal side pitch.
• Come to stay at either park to use it as a base for exploring, touring or shopping in North Yorkshire.
• All in all people come to relax and enjoy themselves, we hope you will to!
Please feel free to pop in or call for a chat, 01759 371377. We hope to see you soon.
We also welcome your family pet as long as they are kept on a lead. There are plenty of "doggy walks" in the area just enquire in reception.
, Weir – March to October, Allerton Park – February to January
